Meta Tags

Whew!! It's been a while since I've written a blog... too many things going on in life that has set me back just a bit on keeping things in check. Now that I've got my priorities shifted and straightened out, let's get back to business...

So... Where were we again???

Oh yes, the next stop is Meta Tags. Meta tags, for those that do not know, are the descriptions, title, and keywords of your website. Although some pros in the search engine business have started to use meta tags as coasters in search engine optimization, the almighty Google have stated otherwise. The importance of meta tags can still play a role, albeit it may not be as grand as some would think. There are plenty of other factors that will need to play with meta tags for it to be a fully effective role-player. Think of meta tags as fingers of your body. You can't eat without fingers to hold utensils, but you also can't eat without other parts of your body, such as your wrist to hold the fingers, your arm to bend and get the food and deliver it to your mouth... Makes sense? Of course it does... Humor me, ok?

Nevertheless, it is still a useful tool in creating organic relevance to your website.
